The first track from Dave's forthcoming solo album, When the Morning Comes combines heartfelt lyrics with gorgeous harmonies produced by Matt Retz and Eric Rosander of the Ain't Got No Time (Rock and Blues) Band.  Evoking at times the Black Crowes, the Allman Brothers and The Eagles the song began with the idea of losing the woman he loved and moves to the realization that loss is part of life.  Rather than waiting for the one who won't come back comes the realization there's someone who will be there when the morning comes!

Lyrics

When the Morning Comes
Words and music by Dave Manoucheri
Copyright 2016

I'm broken and bent,
Beat down 'cause I spent
My time fighting my battles of the heart.
Never thought she would go
But my pillow's so cold.
What she took from me she'll never know.

Oh, what she took from me, she'll never know.

The years passed away
Thinking you might come my way
Some days I just fell apart
Then she came in today
Said take it day-by-day
That woman took my breath away.

And I see the moon
Rising in the midnight sky
I see your headlights as they pass me by.
Though I wait here for you you've left me behind.
And she'll be here when the morning comes
Yeah, she'll be here when the morning comes.

She spotted my eye
And then took the time
Said I had to do so much more than talk
Felt the earth begin to shake
And my fever start to break
Feeling the rush of my heart.

And I see the moon
Rising in the midnight sky
I see your headlights as they pass me by.
Though I wait here for you you've left me behind.
And she'll be here when the morning comes
Yeah, she'll be here when the morning...

Comes . . . 'cause I will.
She will be here, 'cause I will
No more waiting, waiting on you still . . .

And I see the moon
Rising in the midnight sky
I see your headlights as they pass me by.
Though I wait here for you you've left me behind.
And she'll be here when the morning comes
Yeah, she'll be here when the morning comes.

Story

How Much More

The first song Dave Manoucheri wrote after the loss of his wife, it shows the hard, deep frustration that he felt in the weeks and months later.  As with anyone who's suffered any kind of hardship, there are times you want to look to the skies and shout "How much more can I take?!"  That is apparent in the second track from Dave's forthcoming solo record.

The Blind Leading the Blind

by Manoucheri

Manoucheri
Before becoming a solo artist, Dave Manoucheri started a band with his brother, Adam, simply called Manoucheri. This was their first and only LP so far.
NOTES
The Blind Leading the Blind became the de facto name of the Manoucheri LP after Dave and Adam's father saw the cover photo - of when he grew up with his brother - and said "there's the blind leading the blind!" The Album was well received though after Dave moved to Texas for work the Manoucheri band . . . well . . . disbanded more or less. But the music lives on!
